Ingredients

3 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast

1 cup warm milk

¼ cup sugar

1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

1 tsp salt
Filling:

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 tbsp ground cinnamon

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
Icing:

1 cup powdered sugar
-
2 tbsp cream cheese, softened

2 tbsp milk
-
½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

Prepare dough: In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and a pinch of sugar. Let sit 5 minutes until frothy. Mix in flour, sugar, melted butter, egg, and salt. Knead until smooth. Let rise 1 hour or until doubled.

Make filling: Mix brown sugar and cinnamon.

Roll & fill: Roll dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly. Roll up tightly and cut into 12 slices.

Bake: Place slices in a greased pan, cover, and let rise 30 minutes. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes until golden.

Icing: Whisk powdered sugar, cream cheese, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over warm buns.
