1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water
1 cup filling of your choice
1 tablespoon oil
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1–2 tablespoons warm water
1 garlic clove, minced
Optional: a splash of sriracha or chili flakes
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the water until it forms a smooth dough.
Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let it rest for about 10-15 minutes.
Prep your filling while the dough rests.
Roll out the dough to about 1/8-inch thick. Cut out circles using a glass or cookie cutter.
Place a small spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Pinch the edges to seal tightly.
Place dumplings on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops lightly with oil.
Bake for about 20-25 minutes, until golden and firm.
In a small bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and warm water until smooth.
Serve hot with the peanut sauce.
