  • 200 grams of halloumi cheese, sliced into 1cm thick pieces
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme
  • a pinch of black pepper
  • lemon wedges, for serving

  • Instructions

  • Slice the halloumi into thick pieces, about 1 cm each.
  • In a large non-stick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
  • Carefully add the halloumi slices and fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown on one side.
  • Flip the halloumi slices and cook for another 2-3 minutes, then drizzle in the honey and sprinkle the thyme over the cheese.
  • Add a pinch of black pepper, remove from heat, and serve on a plate. Optionally squeeze lemon juice on top.
