  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound of bacon, chopped
  • 3 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil, for cooking

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
  • In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic in the bacon fat until fragrant.
  • In a bowl, mix ricotta, 1 cup Parmesan, mozzarella, egg, cooked bacon, sautéed garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread marinara sauce. Layer with noodles, half of the cheese mixture, a third of remaining Parmesan, and more marinara.
  • Repeat layering with noodles, remaining cheese mixture, remaining Parmesan, and marinara. Top with noodles and remaining marinara and Parmesan.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until golden.
  • Let rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
