4 cups coarsely chopped pecans

½ cup heavy cream

2 teaspoons vanilla extract


Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
  • Add the cold diced butter and mix until the texture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Press the mixture into the prepared baking pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  • In a large saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter over medium heat, stirring until melted.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and chopped pecans.
  • Pour the filling over the pre-baked crust and return to the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until set.
  • Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars and serving.
