1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 bell pepper (any color), sliced into strips
1 medium onion, sliced
2–3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce (optional)
1 teaspoon black pepper
Salt to taste
Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
Marinate the flank steak with soy sauce and half the black pepper for 10-15 minutes.
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
Sauté the sliced onion and bell pepper for about 3-4 minutes until softened.
Push the veggies aside and add the marinated steak. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until browned.
Mix the steak with the veggies, add garlic, remaining soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper or chili flakes if desired.
