Ingredients
Scale
1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
1 onion, thinly sliced (sweet onions work great)
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
8 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
12 slider buns, split
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Optional: hot sauce or pepperoncini
Instructions
Start by slicing your steak as thinly as possible, freeze the steak for about an hour beforehand to make slicing easier.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, cooking until softened and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
Push the veggies to one side and add the sliced steak. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until the steak is just cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a baking dish, place the bottom half of the slider buns. Spoon the steak and veggie mixture over the buns, then layer on the provolone cheese.
Cap the sliders with the top halves of the buns. Mix melted butter and garlic powder, brush this over the tops of the buns.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
Serve warm and enjoy with your favorite sides.
