  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
  • 12 slider buns, split
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional: hot sauce or pepperoncini

  • Instructions

  • Start by slicing your steak as thinly as possible, freeze the steak for about an hour beforehand to make slicing easier.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, cooking until softened and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Push the veggies to one side and add the sliced steak. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until the steak is just cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a baking dish, place the bottom half of the slider buns. Spoon the steak and veggie mixture over the buns, then layer on the provolone cheese.
  • Cap the sliders with the top halves of the buns. Mix melted butter and garlic powder, brush this over the tops of the buns.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  • Serve warm and enjoy with your favorite sides.
