This Picnic Style Brie and Prosciutto Sandwich layers creamy Brie, salty prosciutto, and sweet fig jam on crusty bread for a gourmet experience that’s easy to make and perfect for any outdoor occasion.
Ingredients
1 French baguette or ciabatta loaf, halved lengthwise
6 oz Brie cheese, sliced
4–6 slices prosciutto
2 tablespoons fig jam
1/2 cup arugula or baby spinach
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for brushing)
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Slice the baguette or ciabatta in half lengthwise.
2. Spread fig jam evenly on the bottom half of the bread.
3. Layer with Brie slices, then prosciutto.
4. Top with arugula or baby spinach.
5. Season with freshly ground black pepper.
6. Close the sandwich and press gently.
7. Brush the outside with olive oil if desired.
8. Slice into individual portions and wrap for your picnic.
Notes
Add sliced apples or pears for extra sweetness and crunch.
Use a whole grain mustard instead of fig jam for a tangy variation.
