- 12 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
- 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar (24 oz) pizza sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 20–25 pepperoni slices
- ½ cup sliced black olives or bell peppers (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta al dente, then drain.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in pizza sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix the cooked pasta with the sauce and transfer to a greased baking dish.
- Top with mozzarella, Parmesan, pepperoni, and other toppings.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
