  • 12 asparagus spears, trimmed

  • 6 slices prosciutto, halved lengthwise

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Gruyère (optional)

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

  • Freshly cracked black pepper


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Cut puff pastry into 6 squares.

  • Wrap 2 asparagus spears and a sprinkle of cheese (if using) with half a slice of prosciutto. Place in the center of each puff pastry square.
