  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sour cream or Greek yogurt (optional, for garnish)

  • Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the chilled butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Slowly add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
  • Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, chopped jalapeño, lime juice, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir over medium heat until cranberries burst and mixture thickens, about 10 minutes. Let cool.
  • Roll out the chilled dough to about 1/8-inch thickness. Cut circles and fit into a mini muffin tin.
