Ingredients
Scale
1 pound of ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork for extra flavor)
1 cup of ricotta cheese (fresh is best for ultimate creaminess)
1 large egg
1 cup of breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned work wonders)
2 cloves of fresh garlic (minced)
1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup of fresh parsley (chopped)
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
2 cups of marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ricotta, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, Parmesan, parsley, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if you're feeling spicy. Mix gently to avoid overmixing.
With damp hands, shape the mixture into balls about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
Place your meatballs on a lined baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.
Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until they're cooked through and beautifully golden brown.
Heat your marinara sauce in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the meatballs are done, carefully add them to the skillet and let them simmer in the sauce for another 10 minutes.
Serve your Ricotta Meatballs over pasta, in a sub, or as an appetizer topped with parsley and Parmesan.
Notes
These Ricotta Meatballs are rich, tender, and simply melt in your mouth. Perfect for any weeknight dinner or family gathering!
