  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup caramel sauce
  • Flaky sea salt, for finishing

  • Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cream the butter and sugars in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and sea salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Chill the dough in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  • Scoop the cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Press a small indentation into the center of each cookie for caramel.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, slightly underbaked for gooey texture.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce into the indentations and sprinkle with flaky sea salt as soon as they come out of the oven.
  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
