Description
Delightfully fresh and flavorful, these shrimp burgers are a perfect alternative to traditional beef patties. They’re light, protein-packed, and incredibly easy to make.
Ingredients
1 pound raw shrimp
peeled and deveined
1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 green onions
finely chopped
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 garlic clove
minced
1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
4 burger buns
lettuce leaves
sliced tomato
tartar sauce or aioli for serving
Instructions
- In a food processor, pulse the shrimp until coarsely chopped.
- In a bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, panko, green onions, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook the shrimp patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Assemble the burgers on buns with lettuce, tomato, and your choice of tartar sauce or aioli.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add spices or herbs to the shrimp mixture. Make sure to avoid over-processing the shrimp to maintain some texture.
