1 cup of unsalted butter, softened
1 cup of granulated sugar
1 cup of brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
3 cups of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of caramel sauce
1/4 cup of granulated sugar (for rolling)
2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon (for rolling)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan. Drizzle caramel sauce over the batter.
Spread the remaining batter over the caramel, covering it as much as possible.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Mix sugar and cinnamon together for rolling.
Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then lift out and cool completely on a wire rack.
Cut into squares and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
