Ingredients
- 12 oz egg noodles, cooked
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt & black pepper
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a casserole dish.
2️⃣ Cook the Beef – In a skillet, sauté onions and garlic, then brown the ground beef. Stir in tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
3️⃣ Mix the Creamy Layer – In a bowl, combine sour cream and cottage cheese.
4️⃣ Assemble the Casserole – Layer half of the cooked noodles in the dish, spread the sour cream mixture over them, then add half the beef mixture. Repeat layers and top with shredded cheddar.
5️⃣ Bake – Drizzle melted butter on top and bake for 25-30 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
