  • 1 pound of mixed seafood (shrimp, scallops, and fish)
  • 4 cups of fish or seafood stock
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • 8 large prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds

  • Instructions

  • In a large pot over medium heat, warm the olive oil until it shimmers.
  • Add the chopped onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in the paprika and cayenne pepper, cooking for another minute.
  • Gently add your mixed seafood to the pot, combining it well with the veggies and spices.
  • Add the fish stock and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook for about 10-15 minutes.
  • Carefully transfer the soup to a blender and puree until smooth.
  • Return the blended bisque to the pot, stir in the heavy cream, and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • In a separate pan, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Toss in the prawns and season with salt and pepper. Cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side, and sprinkle sesame seeds over them as they cook.
