Ingredients
1 lb chicken breasts or thighs
9 oz cheese tortellini
3 cloves garlic minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley optional
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the chicken, season with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes, and cook until golden and fully cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Add the cooked cheese tortellini and chicken back to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.
Notes
Feel free to adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control the spiciness. This dish pairs well with a side salad or garlic bread.
