Juicy shrimp, tender asparagus, and a bold, spicy sauce come together for a delicious meal that’s perfect for busy weeknights. Serve it over rice, pasta, or enjoy it on its own for a light and satisfying dish!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed & cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt & black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional, for richness)

Instructions

1️⃣ Heat the Pan – In a large skillet over medium-high heat, warm 1 tbsp olive oil.
2️⃣ Cook the Asparagus – Add asparagus and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp. Remove and set aside.
3️⃣ Sauté the Shrimp – Add the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil, then toss in shrimp, garlic, red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until shrimp turn pink.
4️⃣ Make the Sauce – Stir in soy sauce, honey, and lemon juice. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
5️⃣ Combine & Serve – Return asparagus to the pan, toss everything together, and finish with a dab of butter (optional). Serve hot and enjoy

Notes

Make it milder – Reduce red pepper flakes for a less spicy version.
Extra citrusy flavor? Add more lemon juice or a zest garnish.
Best served fresh but leftovers keep well for 1-2 days.
