This Spicy Shrimp and Asparagus dish is a quick, flavorful, and healthy meal made in just one pan! Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed & cut into 2-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp salt & black pepper
- 1 tbsp butter (optional, for richness)
Instructions
1️⃣ Heat the Pan – In a large skillet over medium-high heat, warm 1 tbsp olive oil.
2️⃣ Cook the Asparagus – Add asparagus and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp. Remove and set aside.
3️⃣ Sauté the Shrimp – Add the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil, then toss in shrimp, garlic, red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until shrimp turn pink.
4️⃣ Make the Sauce – Stir in soy sauce, honey, and lemon juice. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
5️⃣ Combine & Serve – Return asparagus to the pan, toss everything together, and finish with a dab of butter (optional). Serve hot and enjoy
Notes
✔ Make it milder – Reduce red pepper flakes for a less spicy version.
✔ Extra citrusy flavor? Add more lemon juice or a zest garnish.
