Ingredients

  • 8 ounces of beef steak (sirloin or flank), sliced thinly against the grain
  • 8 ounces of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 12 ounces of stir-fry noodles (egg noodles or rice noodles)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (to thicken)

  • Instructions

  • Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.
  • Tail and devein the shrimp if not already done.
  • Chop the bell pepper and broccoli into bite-sized pieces and rinse the snap peas.
  • Mix all sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  • Add the noodles and cook according to package instructions, usually around 3-5 minutes.
  • Once cooked, drain the noodles and rinse them under cold water.
  • Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, adding 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
  • Add the sliced steak to the pan in a single layer and sear for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • Add another tablespoon of oil, followed by garlic, bell pepper, and broccoli. Stir-fry for around 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the shrimp and snap peas, stir-frying for another 2-3 minutes until shrimp turn pink.
  • Return steak to the pan and add the drained noodles along with the sauce, tossing everything together.
  • Add green onions before serving, stirring to combine.
