8 ounces of beef steak (sirloin or flank), sliced thinly against the grain
8 ounces of shrimp, peeled and deveined
12 ounces of stir-fry noodles (egg noodles or rice noodles)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced
1 cup broccoli florets
1 cup snap peas
3 green onions, sliced
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (to thicken)
Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.
Tail and devein the shrimp if not already done.
Chop the bell pepper and broccoli into bite-sized pieces and rinse the snap peas.
Mix all sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
Add the noodles and cook according to package instructions, usually around 3-5 minutes.
Once cooked, drain the noodles and rinse them under cold water.
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, adding 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
Add the sliced steak to the pan in a single layer and sear for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
Add another tablespoon of oil, followed by garlic, bell pepper, and broccoli. Stir-fry for around 3-4 minutes.
Add the shrimp and snap peas, stir-frying for another 2-3 minutes until shrimp turn pink.
Return steak to the pan and add the drained noodles along with the sauce, tossing everything together.
Add green onions before serving, stirring to combine.
