These Sticky Hoisin Beef Noodles are a quick and savory dish with rich, umami flavors. Tender beef strips are coated in a sticky hoisin sauce and tossed with soft noodles for a satisfying, one-pan meal that’s perfect for weeknights. Bold, flavorful, and simple to make!
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 8 oz noodles (lo mein, udon, or spaghetti)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
- 1 tsp chili paste (optional for spice)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional for garnish
Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Noodles: Prepare the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Cook the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook for 3-5 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and chili paste (if using). Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens.
4️⃣ Combine: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Return the beef to the pan and toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
5️⃣ Serve & Garnish: Drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!
