Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan.

Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla.

Alternate adding dry mix and buttermilk to butter mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Fold in chopped strawberries.

Bake: Pour batter into pan and bake 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
