  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F or 43°C)
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted (plus more for greasing)
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly and frothy.
  • Add the melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually stir in the flour, one cup at a time, until a soft dough forms.
  • Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead it for about 5-7 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm place for about an hour or until it doubles in size.
  • While the dough is rising, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Set aside.
  • Once the dough has risen, gently punch it down to release the air. Roll it into a rectangle about 16×12 inches.
  • Spread the softened butter over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Evenly sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mix over the butter, and then scatter the sliced strawberries on top.
  • Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a tight log, sealing the edges as you go.
  • Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 12 rolls (about 1.5 inches each). Place the rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise again for about 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  • While the rolls are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
  • Once the rolls are done, let them cool for about 10 minutes before drizzling with the glaze.
