Flaky puff pastry meets creamy filling and sweet strawberries in this irresistible treat. It’s surprisingly easy to make and looks as good as it tastes!
Ingredients
For the Danish:

1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

4 oz cream cheese (softened)

2 tbsp granulated sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup fresh strawberries (sliced thinly)

1 egg (for egg wash)
-
1 tbsp water
Optional Glaze:

1/2 cup powdered sugar
-
1–2 tsp milk
-
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat Oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

Cut the Pastry: Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 4 rectangles. Score a smaller rectangle inside each, being careful not to cut all the way through.

Add Filling: Spread 1–2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture into the center of each scored area. Top with strawberry slices.

Brush with Egg Wash: Beat the egg with water and brush the edges of the pastries for a golden finish.

Bake: Place on the baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.

Glaze (Optional): Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla, then drizzle over cooled pastries.
