These soft, golden rolls combine the tropical sweetness of Hawaiian bread with a luscious cream cheese filling—perfect for brunch, dessert, or an indulgent snack.
Ingredients
For the Dough:

2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)

3/4 cup warm pineapple juice (110°F)

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup melted butter

1 egg

1/2 tsp salt
For the Filling:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract
For Brushing (optional):

2 tbsp melted butter
-
1 tbsp honey
Instructions

Activate yeast: In a bowl, mix warm pineapple juice and sugar. Sprinkle in yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.

Make dough: Add flour, egg, melted butter, and salt. Knead until smooth (5–7 min). Let rise 1 hour or until doubled.

Make filling: Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

Assemble rolls: Punch down dough, divide into 12 balls. Flatten each, add a spoonful of filling, seal and shape into a ball.

Second rise: Place in greased baking dish. Cover and rise 30 minutes.

Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden.

Glaze (optional): Brush with melted butter and honey while warm.

Substitute pineapple juice with orange juice if needed.
