Description

This classic Tater Tot Casserole is a family favorite made with seasoned ground beef, creamy soup, cheese, and crispy tater tots. It’s the perfect no-fuss comfort food!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

  • ½ cup milk

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots

  • Salt & pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook beef: In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

  2. Mix base: Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Heat until combined.

  3. Layer casserole: Spread beef mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle cheese over the top. Arrange tater tots evenly on top.

  4. Bake: Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 35–40 minutes, or until tots are golden and crispy.

  5. Serve: Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, or frozen veggies to the beef mixture.

  • Leftovers reheat well and make great next-day lunches.
