Description

These Ultimate Barbecue Ribs are a delicious and succulent treat that will elevate your grilling game. Tender baby back ribs are coated in a rich, homemade barbecue sauce that brings a perfect blend of sweet and smoky flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

2 racks of baby back ribs (about 4 lbs)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper

to taste

1 cup ketchup

¼ cup apple cider vinegar

¼ cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper

to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Rub the baby back ribs with olive oil, and season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Place the ribs on the baking sheet, bone side down, and cover with another sheet of foil.
  • Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for about 2.5 hours until tender.
  • While the ribs are baking, prepare the barbecue sauce by mixing ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Once the ribs are cooked, brush them with the barbecue sauce and broil in the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes until caramelized.
  • Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.

Notes

For best results, let the ribs marinate in the sauce for a couple of hours or overnight in the fridge before baking.
