Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the meat is browned and the onion is translucent.
- If using, stir in the mixed vegetables and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cream of mushroom soup, salt, and pepper to the skillet and mix well.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
- Top with frozen tater tots, arranging them evenly across the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and heated through.
