🍗 Bang Bang Chicken Bowl: A Flavorful Delight at Home

Ingredients
For the Chicken:

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cubed

½ cup buttermilk

½ cup cornstarch

½ cup flour

Salt and pepper, to taste

Oil for frying
For the Bang Bang Sauce:

½ cup mayonnaise

¼ cup sweet chili sauce

1–2 tbsp sriracha (adjust to heat preference)

1 tbsp honey or sugar

1 tbsp rice vinegar (optional)
For the Bowl:

2 cups cooked jasmine or brown rice

1 cup shredded carrots
-
1 cup cucumber slices
-
½ avocado, sliced (optional)

1 tbsp chopped green onions

Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions

Marinate the chicken: Soak the chicken in buttermilk for 30 minutes.

Coat & fry: Mix cornstarch, flour, salt, and pepper. Dredge chicken pieces and fry in hot oil until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

Make the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayo, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar.

Toss chicken in sauce: Gently coat fried chicken in bang bang sauce.

Assemble the bowl: Layer rice, veggies, and sauced chicken. Top with green onions and sesame seeds.
