Description
Indulge in a savory blend of gorgonzola, prosciutto, and fresh figs on bruschetta. Perfect for appetizers or a gourmet touch at any gathering.
1 baguette or your favorite bread, sliced
8 oz gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
4 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced
6 fresh figs, quartered
2 tablespoons honey
Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
1–2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
Fresh thyme or arugula for garnish
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Slice the baguette into ½ inch thick slices and lay them on a baking sheet.
Brush both sides of the bread slices lightly with olive oil.
Toast the bread in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
Once out of the oven, pile on the gorgonzola cheese generously.
Lay fig quarters over the cheese and fold a piece of prosciutto on top.
Drizzle honey over the assembled bruschetta.
Sprinkle freshly cracked black pepper and garnish with thyme or arugula.
