1 lb ground beef
1 small head of cabbage, chopped (about 4 cups)
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: ½ cup shredded cheese for topping
In a large skillet or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks for about 5-7 minutes.
Drain excess fat if necessary. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté for another 2-3 minutes until onions are translucent.
Add chopped cabbage, stirring occasionally for about 5-7 minutes until it starts to soften.
Pour in the can of diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and season with salt and pepper. Stir everything together.
Bring to a simmer and cook for another 10-15 minutes, adding water or broth if it seems too dry.
If using cheese, sprinkle it on top in the last few minutes of cooking and cover to melt.
